How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, and says to Zion,"Your God reigns!" Is. 52:7

Made It!
I weighed in yesterday and lost 2.4 pounds. Making the total 31.8! I'm so happy. I'll write about it again when I've made my goal.

29.4 and counting...
For those who know me, I have always struggled with my weight. Last February, I decided it was time to do something about it. I wanted it to be a life time solution too. Not something I would do and then gain it all back again. So, I talked to my doctor and he said Weight Watchers. This program has been awesome. My original goal when I started was to lose 20 pounds by Aug. 1st. I have lost 29.4 pounds. Last week I didn't weigh in because I had VBS, but this Monday I will weigh and I am certain I will be over 30 pounds gone. The support I've gotten has been wonderful and the encouragement from friends and family has been a real motivator. I have been donating to Good Will, all the cloths that have become to big (I don't want an option of gaining the weight back!) and I have gone down three pants sizes. I'm not buying a bunch of new cloths yet because I still have another 20 pounds to go. But it feels so good to see my closet emptying. Lucky for me I kept some of my old smaller cloths, so I am not completely without. As I've pulled out old cloths and gotten rid of my bigger cloths it's been like getting a new wardrobe. It feels so good to be back in them. And eventually, my smaller cloths will be bigger cloths. :) I'm sharing this because I'm getting to the point that I was when I felt pretty good about myself after I had Keith, but I'm not done yet and I don't want to be satisfied until I lose at least another 20 pounds. So, this is my way of putting it out there to be held accountable. So pray for me as I continue, I'm getting close and am so excited to see the end results.

Girls weekend 2008
Last weekend six of my friends and I went to Leavenworth WA for the weekend. It was so much fun. This picture is of us outside of Plain Hardware. It is always a favorite for shopping. I was reminded how incredibly blessed I am to have so many wonderful women in my life. We laughed till we cried and made some great memories. Thanks to all the husbands for making it possible for us to go. Thank you Greg & Kathy for your incredible gift of generosity in letting us use the cabin. It was a weekend I wont soon forget!

Champions!
They did it. They took 1st place in the playoffs! Keith is so excited. His buddy Cameron pitched the first part of the game, and then Keith finished it off. What a great season.

Keith's baseball season
Keith has had a great season so far this year. Right now his team is in the playoffs. They won the first playoff game and will be playing their next on Wed. If they win, they will take 1st place. If they lose, they will play again on Saturday morning for the tie breaker. His batting average this year was 750. A huge difference from last year. He's really enjoying playing and doing a great job at it. Thanks to all of our friends and family that has supported him by coming to his games and cheering him on. I know Keith has loved having you all there. I'll let you know the outcome of the playoffs when we know.

Loreen Miller bike ride
This last weekend Keith and I rode in the Loreen Miller Bike ride. It was really fun doing this with Keith. My Mom, Dad, Sister and a couple of her friends were with us also. Of course, it rained the entire time we rode. As soon as we got home and I got the bikes off the truck, showered and headed out to return the bike rack to my friend I had borrowed it from, it was gorgeous. But at least it wasn't in the upper 90's like last year.
At one point, my Mom's chain fell off her bike and Dad and I stopped to help. Keith kept going and my sis and her friends were a ways ahead of us. When we realized Keith was not stopping to wait for us, I started to panic. There was my little boy riding away from me. We yelled to him, but he couldn't hear and kept going. As I watched him, and my Dad chased him to catch up, I realized my son is growing up, he's not afraid to be on his own a little. He is no longer a "little" boy anymore. He's headed to the next stage of life. Next year he enters Middle School. Hard to believe the elementary days will be done for him in less then two weeks! Keith and I both thought it would be a good idea to do a few more rides together this summer. A great Mother/Son activity. Steve does a lot with Keith, (which is very important) But him and I haven't done a whole lot just the two of us and this weekend made me realize it is important for me to take the time to come up with special moments with him.
He is growing into a very wonderful young man. As much as I pine for his younger years, I look forward to seeing who he becomes and what he will accomplish in his lifetime. And I'm enjoying the moments we have now.
I love you Keith and I'm proud of you. Thanks for all the fun we have together and all the fun I know we'll have in the future.
