New tent trailer

Today we had the fun of surprising the kids by buying a tent trailer. We've been keeping the secret for two weeks now. We told the kids we had some running around this morning and headed up to Deer Park where we purchased it. About 2 minutes outside of Deer Park, Keith figured it out. They are so excited (as are we)! It's pretty nice with a queen and king size bed, plus couches that lay down into beds, heater, fridge, sink, stove that you can cook with inside or outside, outside shower, ect.. I guess we'll be camping with style. :) So I took a couple pictures of it, you'll get a little idea of what it looks like. Kelly thinks she would like to live in it. Once the rain goes away we will probably set it up some in the backyard and get a little use out of it there too. The dealer said a lot of people us it as a little guest house when company comes. :) Anyone want to come visit? :) Ha Ha!

13 years!

It seems like just yesterday we fell in love. :) Each year gets better and better. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our special day. Thought it would be fun to look back.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Patrick was born in Britain in 373 AD. He was kidnapped into slavery at the age of sixteen, and taken to Ireland where he labored for six years.

In "Patrick's Confession," we learn that although he had been raised in church, it wasn't until he was kidnapped that he realized for the first time that he really did not know God. During his captivity he says, "the Lord opened my mind to an awareness of my unbelief, in order that, even so late, I might remember my transgressions and turn with all my heart to the Lord my God."

Today millions are raised in churches, but do not really know God. We call this condition "False Conversion." And just like Patrick, many times it takes a tremendous shock before the false convert realizes their true state before God.

Jesus talks about the worst case scenario for false converts in Matthew 7:21-23:

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"

Kelly's concert

Kelly had a school concert that was held at the mall last night. She was so cute and so excited about it. It was hard to get any good pictures in the mall but here are a few to share with you. She's in the pink shirt.

Rob Bell Video

Steve has been looking into Rob Bell and came across this YouTube video. It is worth your time to watch this. I don't know if any of you read his books or watch his video's, but I am convinced he is deceived in his view of scripture and not someone to be followed. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. We need to check what people are saying with the scriptures. If it doesn't line up, run the other direction.
