Cheerleading

When my daughter decides to do something she puts all of her heart into it. Right now it is cheerleading. Her teacher Mrs. Schneider has a daughter that is 5 & 1/2 and Kalie has invited Kelly to come to cheerleading with her. Kelly has been to three practices and last night they did their end of the year show. I didn't think Kelly was going to be in it because she has only been to three classes. We were going to go practice and then go home. So we get there and Kelly asked the teacher if she could be in the show. The teacher said sure. As you can see from the picture, (she is the one in the white shirt) she put her whole heart into the show. Except she didn't get to do the whole thing because her skirt she was wearing didn't have shorts under it. Opps! What can I say I'm new to cheerleading. But she got to do some of the cheers and was happy about that! Next fall she will start up again. She is really excited about it.

Mother's Day

My children are so sweet and thoughtful. I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Kelly, of course wanted to get me flowers, so they bought me a plant at Home Depot. And of course they had to get me something with biking. I have been complaining, because when I'm biking on the Centennial Trail, the bikers that look like official bikers (Not me of course) never warn you when they pass by you on the left. They just fly right by going really fast. It about gives me a heart attack every time! Last time I went out I told Steve I'm going to get on of those really loud air horns to blow if someone flies by without saying "On your left!" Lets see how their heart feels after that in their ear! So, the kids got me a mirror for on my helmet (not an air horn)so people aren't giving me heart attacks, and riding gloves to keep my hands warm, because it still is pretty cold here. They were so excited about it all. Mom and Dad came to church with us and the children's choir sang. Then we all went to eat Sushi. (Not Mom's favorite but I was proud of her for trying!) Dad liked it and we decided to have father/daughter dates once-in-awhile at the Sushi place. Afterwards the kids had to go out to see Maddie Mom and Dad's new Newfoundland puppy so we headed out there and hung out a bit. It was a really nice day. I am blessed with the best children I ever could have asked for and a wonderful Mom of my own!
