Diamond Lake

My Mom and Dad have purchased a Lake Home on Diamond Lake. Keith and I drove up there today because he hasn't seen it yet. There is a little snow up there and it is beautiful. I think we will create many family memories up there. I'm excited to be able to go up and relax and enjoy the lake.

Weekend w/ The Benson's

We recently got to spend a crazy weekend with our friends The Benson's at our family cabin in Plain WA.  All eight of us piled into The Benson's Sequoia and headed West.
We decided to stop to get some Mexican Food for dinner in Wenatchee.  This was the worst place I think I've been.  It took an hour for us to get our food!  By the time we got it we were so hungry we shoveled it into our mouths barely tasting it!  They took forever to refill chips and salsa.  I don't know how many times we had to ask for refills never to get it.  All around a bad experience.  The app Yelp gave it good reviews.  Lesson learned, don't listen to Yelp!

Saturday we headed to Leavenworth.  The wild fires were still pretty bad, so it was pretty smokey

On the way home we always head to a taco truck in Wenatchee.  Everyone is making weird faces, probably from the spicy peppers!

Girls Weekend

My Mom, Sister, Kelly and I got to head over the mountains for the weekend for my godsister's baby shower.  It was wonderful getting to spend some time with just the girls.  We enjoyed hanging out in Leavenworth and Plain, and then heading over to Snohomish.  I hadn't been to my childhood home in a long time so it was fun to see how it has changed and to show Kelly where I grew up.

Happy 16th Birthday Keith!

Hard to believe that little boy I once held in my arms is now 16! Each year brings more wonderful memories. Can't wait to see what this year will bring. Love you buddy!

Catch Up

Wow!  I haven't posted since November!  That's almost a year gone by.  How the heck did that happen?  Well, I'll just recap what's happened in the past year to catch you up.

December I got to spend 3 weeks with Steve's Sister and Brother-in-law at their home in PA helping Stacey out because she had a sweet baby boy.  (Jaxon)  What a wonderful time that was to spend with them.  Steve and the kids joined me after about 2 weeks there by myself.  It was a wonderful three weeks!

Keith went through 9th grade.  Had GREAT grades and participated in track.  Although he was injured within the 1st couple of weeks and missed most of the season.

Kelly went through 5th grade.  Last year of elementary and realized her love of tennis!  She took leasons at the Spokane Club and really enjoyed it.

I continue to work at Business Innovations.  I got to go to Nashville TN and Atlanta GA for some training, which was fun.  My godsister Erin works for the same company and we were up giggling late into the night (or morning!) just like when we were kids.  I had surgery in April, and spent time recovering from that.

Steve continues to run his hardwood floor business and consitantly heads out to witness to others about Jesus Christ.

The summer of 2012 has been crazy busy!

We got to go to PA again twice in 6 months!  We spent 10 days there and then Steve, Kelly and I headed home and Keith stayed to visit for another two weeks.

We had our annual camping trip with the Benson's and also went camping with our family and Kelly's friend Holly.

We also spent a week at Hayden Lake with my family.  We had a great time relaxing, swimming, fishing, and I got to ride my bike.

Keith has been working this summer.  Mowing lawns to save money to buy his own car.  Oct. 13th and he'll be 16 and ready to get his driving license.  SCARY!

Today is the first day of school for both kids.  I no longer have a child in elementary school.  Kelly started middle school today and Keith entered his Sophmore year of high school.  My how time flies!
